Master Cairo Portrait Photographer Van Leo photographed a significant number of Cairo's elite society from the 1940s - 1990s. His entire archive of over 20.000 negatives & prints was bequeathed to the American University in Cairo upon closure of his studio in 1998. This print is an exhibition-quality reproduction printed from the original negative by Barry Iverson. Each print is processed accorging to archival standards, on fiber-based silver-gelatin paper from the negatives housed in the Rare Books & Special Collections Library. Each print is Hand-Colored. Van Leo passed away in 2002.
