In the highest corner of the garden at the Chateau Lubo in Podhradí nad Dyjí, Czech Republic, a hay wagon through which an apple tree is growing gains patina. This is how Kristek breathed life and dynamics into his symbol of the intergrowth of forms as well as the symbol of a tree with two apples.
In this hay wagon, Kristek was symbolically brought from Germany by seven naked muses. This occured within his first happening on Czech ground after his emigration in 1968 and the Velvet Revolution in 1989.The happening was held on 30 July 1994 at night in the ruins at Podhradí nad Dyjí and bore the name of A Cart Full of Tones .
Today the hay wagon, as a relic from the happening, can already be found in an advanced state of decomposition. In the garden of the Chateau Lubo, its metamorphosis towards an organic extinction occurs, which will enable the emergence of another form. It is a life cycle we are all a part of. The recess at the hay wagon also became the cemetery of Kristek’s animal life soul mates.
