A pieced, square appliqued and couched wall hanging or offering cloth possibly devoted to a folk deity from Rajasthan, backed with red cotton fabric. The central panel on a red ground features various scenes possibly from a folklore depicting warriors riding on horses, camels and elephants and people engaged in various day-to-day activities, with a shrine like structure to the bottom, with two central deities, flanked by two guardians on either side along with a Devanagiri inscription—all rendered in green, red, white and black. The borders depict repeated motifs of people standing beside a flowering tree against a green ground, set within a running band of small triangles. A name, embroidered to the top left of the hanging, might be that of the artist.
