In his text “Od ambalażu do idei podróży” [From Emballage to the Idea of Journey], Tadeusz Kantor clarifies the nature of the procession of figures and theatrical objects depicted in the photographic collage: “1967 The whole troupe of actors (in my production of “The Water Hen”) – is a troupe of ‘eternal wanderers’ whose costumes, tight and complicated, many-layered ‘wrappings’ are grown together with a mass of suitcases, bags, rucksacks, bundles”.
