An Iron Cross (2nd Class)

The sketch of the order was performed personally by King Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia. The design was finalized by the German artist Karl Friedrich Schinkel. The military decoration was established on 10 March 1813 and awarded for military service. The Iron Cross was divided into five degrees pursuant to order No. 102, p. 849 of 10 June 1940.
