Angel (Angel Prelude).

In the rosy light of the sunset, multi-coloured angels travel across lightweight arched bridges that join the earthly and heavenly worlds and up the stairway of improvement. The centre of the composition is dominated by an angel with rainbow-coloured wings sitting on a hilltop as if it were the aspiration of every angel. However, here, the angel has taken on rather demonic characteristics, as in the paintings of Mikhail Vrubel or Giovanni Segantini.
