Shelly O'Brien and Briagha Grant both love to make things impulsively using all sorts of materials, colours and ideas expressed in their creations. Their theme of ‘love and protection’ encompasses current and historical experiences mixed with symbolism and seeks to explore how connection to nature and spirit supports us in everyday life.

Step Up was our inclusive professional development programme for visual artists in Suffolk. Artists worked together in pairs, as equals, to: explore creativity; produce new works of art inspired by each others’ practice; develop new support networks; and benefit from artistic and professional development.
