Bertha Ludwig marries a husband who can be quite difficult. On the one hand, Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen has an explosive temper and, from time to time, tends to forget his family over science. On the other hand, the rest of the time, he is loving and caring towards his wife. Once, when both are invited for a meal in Würzburg, he ignores the Countess that his host has assigned to him in order to sit next to his wife. Röntgen shows a lot of understanding and patience towards his spouse who is prone to sickness and personally takes part in her care.
