Anne Spencer House

Anne Spencer (1882–1975) is remembered as a poet—she is one of the first African American poets included in the Norton Anthology of Modern Poetry—and a civil rights activist—she helped to found a chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
