Along with the "Ordinari-Post," the ordinary postal vehicles, the "Extrapost" was available as a means of transport for travelers. The passenger could rent a carriage and the necessary horses, or use a private carriage with rented horses. Although this mode of transport had its benefits, including increased comfort, flexible departure times, and a personalized itinerary, it was expensive.
