At this time the collection of the Alberto Jiménez-Arellano Alonso Foundation includes forty small Komaland terracotta statues, which may be classified into three groups according to their typology. The three group are simple heads in conical form, some of which present a greater tendency for abstraction then others. It is difficult to determine the sex, but several wear the pointed beard which is habitual in masculine figures. The lower part of the figures, which has disappeared in the majority of cases, would be pointed, probably to facilitate their being half-buried around the funeral barrow. Im this way only the head would remain on the exterior and be visible.
