Groups Awetí, Waurá and Mehináku. In the 1940s, the work of anthropological research on the richness of the fauna, flora and culture of the High-Xinguanas began, under the leadership of Heloisa Alberto Torres. Eduardo Galvão and Pedro Lima, collectors of the masks cataloged under the numbers 35,226 and 35,330, in the years 1947 and 1948 were part of this research. The mask number 39,400 belongs to the Thomas Gregor collection of 1974.
