A deliberate renunciation of naturalistic representation, characteristic of the last stages of pre-Hispanic Mid-Cauca (Quimbaya) ceramics, is illustrated in this female figure with trapezoidal head, no mouth and arms just hinted at by elongated lumps placed on the chest.
