The antiphonary contains the liturgical chants for the liturgy of hours of monastic communities. The large-format volume (58x40 cm) allowed several nuns to sing from it at a time. It is the second of three volumes from the Munich Anger convent of the Poor Clares. They were written under the Abbess Katharina Adelmann between 1494 and 1497 and illuminated by illuminators from Augsburg.

Fol. 1v: The opening miniature shows the entry of the harp-playing King David in Jerusalem, bringing the ark of the covenant. Ulrich Taler created this large-format illumination, which almost reaches the dimensions of panel painting.
