View of the throne from an oblique angle. Throne back is a square form decorated with the Bacchic symbols of grapes and musical instruments. The arms and forelegs of the throne are in the form of winged lions, whose wings transform to volutes with beadwork. Between the legs are two masks flanked a vase with lion handles. The seat back is decorated with the hide of a boar, possibly that of the mythological Calydonian Boar.
