Apache Strike-a-Light Bag

This Apache strike-a-light bag features a vibrant geometric beadwork design with a central diamond cross motif in yellow, orange, and red set against a turquoise field. The top flap is edged in concentric rows of beadwork and decorated with metal cones. The lower edge and corners of the bag are similarly adorned with long tin cone fringes. A looped strap of buckskin is accented with large blue and yellow plastic beads. The bag is backed with a vinyl panel and is likely designed for powwow or regalia use in the mid-20th century.
