Apollo Communications Carrier Headset-on loan from NASM

This communications headset was used on Apollo 7 by Marine astronaut Ronnie Walter “Walt” Cunningham in October 1968. The “Snoopy Cap” headset carried earphones and microphones in a compact cloth covering that resembled the head and ears of the cartoon character Snoopy.

The Apollo Communications Carrier Headset is on loan to the National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC) from National Air and Space Museum. The artifact is on display in the Spaceflight: The Marine Astronauts exhibition at NMMC through January 2024.
