The sculpture depicts one of the apostles who accompanied Christ just before his capture. The man (likely St. Peter) lies barefoot in a semi-reclined position on his right side.
Sculpture created in Odporyszów by Jan Wnęk in the mid-19th century (commissioned by Father Morgensztern, the parish priest; Wnęk then created a whole series of sculptures depicting the life of the Holy Family, the Passion of Christ, and other religious scenes). It was acquired by the MEK collections through Tadeusz Seweryn as a gift from the parish in Odporyszów.
