Cigarette case with gold filigree top which is elaborate in design - basically four corners leading to a circle in the center. Following is inscribed on inside of rim of case: "July 1943 AA" (this is probably the date the case was made in Addis Ababa). There is also an inscription in Arabic on the opposite interior rim. Case presented to Franklin D. Roosevelt by Haile Selassie, Emperor of Ethiopia, when the Emperor visited FDR on board the USS Quincy in Great Bitter Lake (Suez Canal) on his way home from Yalta, February 1945.
