Atari released Le Mans in 1976. It is notable as one of the earliest car-racing games. The game was influenced by Atari's 1974 racing game Gran Trak 10. The up-right cabinet of Le Mans includes a steering wheel, a gear shift, and foot pedals. The one-person game offered 10 race tracks for the player to compete on.
