In 1971, Nutting Associates released Computer Space, the world's first coin-operated video arcade game. It was followed swiftly by landmark games such as Atari's Pong and Breakout. The Nintendo Super System was originally developed to allow users to preview Super Nintendo console games in the United States. Each system had a combination of three games out of an available 12, which could be played for a certain amount of time based on the number of credits inserted.
