Archaeological park of Cava Ispica - cave of the Larderia

The most impressive and best-known monument in Cava Ispica is the Larderia catacomb. It is to be considered among the largest funerary complexes of the south-eastern cusp of Sicily. The overall length is about 42 m with about 400 arks. The development of the various types of tombs also suggests a sociological interpretation of the community that used this cemetery.
