The Gymnasium is a very complex institutional form that is created in Greece for military training and therefore the education of the youth, has a very important position as a monument. But the gymnasium in the Hellenistic Greek period also acquired the function of an assembly hall, a meeting room, for the various occasions in which the community gathers.
