Archaeology at Monroe House Foundation

Archaeological excavations of the south foundation wall of the Monroe home uncovered the corner of what we now know is the east wing of the structure. This particular part of the dig uncovered a surprise: an additional stone foundation heading westward. This foundation corresponded with a wing of the home that was listed in Monroe's insurance documents.
