Archie the Archelon

This lifelike sculpture of an Archelon was created by Adolfo Cuetera and is now located in front of the Co-op store in Morden, Manitoba. It was nicknamed "Archie". The Archelon was a giant turtle that lived in the northern Western Interior Seaway, which covered Manitoba during the Late Cretaceous period. At up to 4.6 meters, turtles of the genus Archelon are the largest turtles that have ever lived on Earth.
