Count Carl Gustaf Wrangel was one of the victors of the Thirty Years War. He amassed a fortune and gained titles, one of them Governor General of Pomerania. It is not surprising, therefore, that the people involved in planning Skokloster came from this part of Sweden. The Architect was Kaspar Vogler (+1663), as an example. The architect’s model, with detachable floors, was most likely made by Wrangel’s carpenter Bertel Volkland. Scale 1:110.
