Architectural map of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It displays the commercial part of the city in 1874 with identification of the streets. It includes banks, bank houses, insurance and shipping companies, major newspapers and periodicals. Designed by engineer João da Rocha Fragoso, it was engraved by H. J. Aranha and printed by Paulo Robin. Published by authorization of the Legislative Body (Decree no. 2334 of August 2, 1873).
