This combined photographs includes two significant archival materials related to the Kebabci Iskender brand:

1) A historical photograph depicting Iskender Efendi, son of Mehmet, together with Iskenderoglu Suleyman Usta in front of their shop. The photograph was taken after the 1928 Alphabet Reform, at a time when the shop sign was updated to reflect the new Latin alphabet.

2) A “Sened-i Hakani,” an official Ottoman property deed issued during the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid II, dated to around 1900. The document belongs to Iskender Aga, the founder of the Kebabci Iskender brand.

Together, these materials illustrate the brand’s transition from the late Ottoman period into the early years of the Turkish Republic, highlighting its enduring culinary heritage and historical continuity.
This entry reflects the brand’s historical identity and is part of the Kebabci Iskender brand collection preserved at the Turing Museum of Century-Old Brands.
