This group of archival photographs and posters documents the formative years of the Touring and Automobile Association of Turkiye and the international cultural diplomacy led by its founder Reşit Saffet Atabinen.
The selection includes:
- A photograph of Reşit Saffet Atabinen in Caira during the 1930s.
- The International Touring Clubs Association meeting held at the historic Pera Palas Hotel in May 1930.
- A 1923 “Turk Seyyahin Cemiyeti” (Turkish Travelers Society) poster designed by Ibrahim Calli, reflecting the early visual identity of Turkish tourism promotion.
- A 1923 Touring poster by Sevket Dag, one of the earliest artistic representations used in national tourism campaigns.
- A photograph showing Reşit Saffet Atabinen with the exhibition manager at the Polish Poznan Exhibition in July 1930, demonstrating Turing’s active participation in international fairs and cultural exchange initiatives.
This selection reflects the institutional identity of the Touring Club’s foundational era and is part of the Turing Museum of Century-Old Brands collection.
