Arhat Statue

The arhat statues of Bulhoesa Temple in Naju are depicted holding various ritual objects. This particular one is wearing a string of Buddhist prayer beads over monastic robes, while holding a long staff in the right hand. The prayer beads, rendered in two distinct rows, convey a sense of substantial weight.
