Armenians, having moved to the city in the 60s of the 17th century, first built a wooden church. At the beginning of the 18th century in the beautifully painted icon, tears began to fall from the eyes of the Virgin Mary. On the same day, in the presence of a large gathering of people, the divine service began, which lasted 44 hours. A copy of the icon is on the church spire, and the original was taken to Poland in 1944, now it is in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in the city of Gdańsk. In honor of the appearance of the miraculous image, on the initiative of the Armenian brotherhood of Stanislaviv, a stone building of a majestic temple was erected. According to its three-dimensional composition, it is a characteristic example of Baroque. The altar plate - Khachkar, which is in the center of the altar, attracts attention, made in the Armenian style. It was designed by an architect. S. Trelya, who had his workshop in Stanislaviv, and it was executed by master Antoniak.
