Copernican. Pasteboard rings covered in hand-colored, printed paper with red edging. Ecliptic axis of oxidized brass. Central gilded sun. Rotating oxidized arms for planets Mercury, venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus, and for asteroids Vesta, Juno, Ceres, and Pallas. Each ring carries a paper disk with the celestial body's French name, symbol, its image, and orbital period.
