Arnold Palmer Plate

The son of a golf professional, American Arnold Palmer came to be known as The King. He was immensely successful and his personal popularity contributed greatly to the growth in golf in the 1960s. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974 and awarded the US's highest civilian honours, the Congressional Gold Medal and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
