Arrerika (Punch), an Arrernte man, his Luritja wife Unnruba (Annie) and Mijargardonne (Lady), a Luritja girl, were assistants on the 1903 expedition. While hunting with Herbert Basedow, Arrerika shot an eaglehawk. Arrerika and Unnruba made ornaments from its feathers and the carcass was given to some Aboriginal people who were camped with the party.
