Arrest of the Perpetrators of the Crime of the “Sacamantecas” (Ripper)

This diorama, set in 1911, depicts the end of the exhaustive investigation carried out by the Civil Guard following the horrific murder and dismemberment of a seven-year-old boy, Bernardo González. It shows the perpetrators of the crime—three men and one woman—being handed over at the Court of Gador (Almería). It was one of the most significant and acclaimed cases solved by the Civil Guard at that time.
