Armchair designed by the entrepreneur, cabinetmaker and painter of the industrial city of Nancy (France), Louis Majorelle. He was one of the designers who lead the semi-handcrafted furniture production of the Majorelle firm, which took care of the practical aspects of furniture, without abandoning the ornamental aesthetics of Art Nouveau. The decoration consists of irises, present in both the wood structure and the upholstery. It was made around 1905-1907, due to its design and production.
