One of the most popular motifs in Vytautas Kasiulus’ works was the painter in his studio. The author has varied this subject an infinite number of times, giving it always new opportunities for expression, discovering untested shades used to convey the changing mood. The painter by his easel and the model standing nearby was also often an autobiographical theme which depicted the artist himself and his wife.
