Artwork inspired by Sara Sibai's story

Inspired by the life lesson of Sara Sibai from Lebanon, "I've learned that how we choose to suffer makes all the difference. Suffering is, perhaps, inevitable, but I now see it as a cave that I learn to enter with courage, have tea with the monsters there, only to realize they aren't monsters, they are parts of me shrivelled from fear, that need to remember what light looks like. It takes time of just sitting with it, compassionately when possible."

The artist Nori Norbhu shares about the work, "The artwork represents different people and their perspective of suffering. The stem interconnecting each hand represents suffering and turmoil, while the pale white moon represents positivity. It's in the hands of the observer to focus on what to look at and how they would want to interpret it."

Nori Norbhu is an illustrator and visual designer currently based in Bangalore, India. She loves illustrating themes around nature, femininity and travel while also communicating social causes through her art.All of her illustrations include hand made elements and digital techniques. She has illustrated for brands like Netflix India, Redbull, Tata, and LinkedIn amongst others.

World Wisdom Map is a unique project that documents the life lesson and story of people from each of the 195 countries in the world. The collation and exhibition of human wisdom is presented on a digital, artistic and interactive world map. The data has also been designed into education and art resources. This consciousness project combines visual, and wisdom anthropology that exists in the world and further sparks awareness about the diversity of lifestyles, as well as the coping mechanism that people employ to create a meaningful life. Using the tool of technology, it is easier to connect and exchange information to ignite hope and global participation in an unbiased and creative way.
