Artwork of Nasturtiums for Cover of 'Understanding Gardening'

An illustration in watercolour or gouache, of a lawn sprinkler placed next to nasturtiums for the cover of 'Understanding Gardening' magazine. Although an attractive concept to have only hand-painted illustrations featured within the magazine, it was short-lived in the mid-1960s due to competition from colour photography, which was a cheaper source of imagery.
