Artworks at Nike Art Gallery

Visitors take in an artwork at the Nike Centre for Art and Culture, Lagos. Chief Nike Davies-Okundaye, also known as Nike Okundaye, Nike Twins Seven Seven, Nike Olaniyi, or simply Mama Nike, is a Nigerian batik and Adire textile artist. She is the founder and director of four art centres that offer free training to young artists in visual, musical and performing arts. Her philanthropic efforts aim to revive and sustain traditional craft practices within the modern Nigerian artistic sphere, to which the Nike Centre for Art and Culture is a standing testament.
