Since 1990, the photographer has been documenting the life of the residents of highways, such as the Transamazônica—the picture of which is exposed here—, a symbol of the modern project of national integration which fell into ruins before it was even opened, and the Belém-Brasília, the main access road of the North to the rest of the country. Over the years, the artist has collected stories about the wanderings of the people who live there and about the country itself.
