A set of white houses from Algarve, with rooftops and cubic volumetries extend to the blue sea, where the masts of moored boats touch the sky, and some chimneys extend beyond the composition.
This composition belongs to a series of the houses of Olhão which the author made, existing another work of this series in the collection of the museum.
Eduardo Viana is one of the greatest painters of the first generation of modernism in Portugal. His work is defined by the combination of colored form. He is a painter who searches for the desired solidity of the world, following the geometrized simplification.
