The Chapel of Saint Ferdinand contains two lunettes, whose decoration Pérez Constanti attributed to Pedro Noble, depicting the Ascension on the west wall and the Assumption of Mary on the east wall. Both images, painted in 1542, stand out for their compositions adapted to the architectural framework and for the figures with elongated anatomies and contorted poses that already anticipate Mannerism.
The Assumption depicts the moment when the Virgin is taken up to heaven by four angels, in front of the apostles divided into two groups, led by Peter and James, the latter holding the "pilgrim's book" in his hand.
