It is a relief richly ornamented composition with a representation of the Virgin Mary in the central point. On the sides there are angels with various objects.
The work is a plaster cast reinforced with a wooden structure and oakum, 100 cm high, 81 cm wide and 17 cm deep.
The altar and mensa were designed for a church in Echarlens, Switzerland. In addition to the altar, Szczepkowski designed for the temple, among others the pulpit and the confessional. The wooden version of the altar was lent by the Commune of Milanówek to the Tatra Museum of Dr. Tytus Chałubiński in Zakopane.
