At the Gagarin Cosmonaut Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, Expedition 42/43 Soyuz Commander Anton Shkaplerov of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) waves to well-wishers Nov. 11 before boarding a bus that took him, Terry Virts of NASA and Samantha Cristoforetti of the European Space Agency to a waiting plane for a flight to their launch site at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The trio will launch Nov. 24, Kazakh time from Baikonur in their Soyuz TMA-15M spacecraft for a five and a half month mission on the International Space Station.
