At the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, Expedition 37/38 Flight Engineer Michael Hopkins of NASA (center) shares a light moment with his backup, NASA’s Steve Swanson (left) and the first human to walk in space, Russian cosmonaut Alexei Leonov (right) Sept. 13 before Hopkins and Swanson departed with their other crewmates for the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Hopkins, Soyuz Commander Oleg Kotov and Flight Engineer Sergey Ryazanskiy will launch from Baikonur Sept. 26, Kazakh time, in the Soyuz TMA-10M spacecraft for a five and a half month mission on the International Space Station.
