Black and white photo that shows a long line of ADAPT protesters blocking the streets of Atlanta. ADAPT hosted several actions from September 24th to September 29th, 1989. Targets of this protest were APTA, Greyhound and the federal Department of Transportation (DOT) and Urban Mass Transit Association (UMTA). With these protests ADAPT won the concession that DOT and UMPTA would not allow transit providers to purchase new buses without lifts before the Americans with Disabilities Act was enacted.
