A pocket-sized atlas of the theatre of military operations in Germany and neighbouring countries from 1740 to 1761, published in Paris under the title of "Atlas géographique et militaire ou théâtre de la guerre presente en Allemagne". As one of the main areas affected by military operations was Silesia, the atlas falls within the Ossolineum’s collecting scope which focuses on works concerning and related to Poland. Additionally, the atlas is associated with the culture and history of the Republic of Poland with an ownership mark, indicating that it formerly belonged to the Radziwiłł book collection of the Klecka Free Tail.
The atlas measures 12 cm, it has a leather binding with gilt, with marbled inserts and gilt page edges. 3 pages are unprinted, it includes the title page, table of contents, preface, linear scales, legend, list of battles, atlas proper containing 17 folded maps depicting the theatre of the Seven Years’ War, including Silesia and Polish lands, 3 pages unprinted.
