An Attacus Atlas Caterpillar at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History Orkin Insect Zoo. This caterpillar matures and transforms into the Atlas moth, one of the largest species of moths, with wingspans reaching over 25cm (9.8in). They are found across the tropical and subtropical forest of South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Malay archipelago.
