Excelled in dyeing and printing, the Yao women are still practicing the whole set of dyeing and printing skills they’ve inherited from their ancestors. The Yao women are also skillful embroiders. They usually embellish their plackets, cuffs and the hem of trouser legs with exquisite embroidered patterns, the composition of which is also where the charm of the Yi garments.
